Welcome

On behalf of the children, staff and governors I warmly welcome you to our school website which we hope you will find both helpful and informative.

Riverdale Primary School is a proud member of the Ironstone Academy Trust. The trust has six schools within it who we work closely with – Normanby Primary School, Nunthorpe Primary Academy, Ormesby Primary School, Overfields Primary School and Zetland Primary School.

Riverdale Primary School is an inclusive and caring school which offers a broad curriculum to all pupils. A particular strength of the school is its commitment to outdoor education and practical learning opportunities. Pupils are proud of the school and love their active lessons.

This reflects the judgement of OFSTED who said,’ Leaders, Staff and Governors want the best for the community they serve. They have high expectations of what pupils can achieve. They have created an environment where pupils can thrive. Relationships between adults and pupils are strong.’
